An Invitation

You are already a noticer.

A relaxed, honest, slow-on-purpose conversation about your curiosity-infused noticing.

Why Now

We are at a moment in human history when our attention has been outsourced to algorithms and our curiosity industrialized into clicks. The practice of noticing on your own terms, in your own time, with your own care, has never mattered more.

The Noticing Podcast exists because the human capacity to Learn, Explore, Imagine, and Create with intentionality is the difference between living a designed life that adds value and living one flattened out by circumstances.

The Invitation

Curiosity has been your companion long before any podcast tapped you on the shoulder. The arc of your life, the shape of your work, the way you have walked your noticings into the world, these caught our attention.

We extend this invitation to join us because what you carry will inspire others. Two noticers having a real conversation is, in this moment in history, an act worth doing.

The conversation will be relaxed. Honest. Slow on purpose. The opposite of an interview. A talk hosted for listeners who came to notice along with us.

The Shape of the Hour

The hour moves the way curiosity moves. It does not start with an agenda. It does not run through bullet points. It walks where the noticing leads.

Sometimes that walk goes through what you have been learning. Sometimes through what you have been exploring. Sometimes through what you have been imagining. Sometimes through what you have been creating. Most of the time, all four happen without us naming them.

The shape is curiosity's shape. Lived, not lectured.

What the Listener Is Doing

While we talk, the listener is not multitasking through a workout or rushing through a commute. The listener is slowing down on purpose. The listener has arrived in a quiet room of their own. The show's pace is set by that listener's pace. Slow, considered, breathing room between phrases.

About John

John Franklin Wiley is the host and a lifelong noticer. He has been learning about learning, exploring exploring, imagining the architecture that lives underneath curiosity, and creating rooms where conversations land. The Noticing Podcast is one of those rooms. The Curiosity Table is the umbrella his work sits beneath.

The Free Look

Most podcast invitations name what the show needs from the guest. This one is the inverse. There is nothing to sell you, and nothing to ask of you beyond the conversation itself.

For the Builder Who Notices

If you own a company, have built a product, or provide a service that came out of your noticing what people or markets needed, this conversation is a different kind of room than the ones that usually surround a business. The hour gives you a place to share the deeper why behind your work without a transactional tone. What lands when we talk is a piece of you and a piece of your work, both elevated by their being held honestly.

If a yes wants to land in your body when you read this, you are welcome at the table.
